My Personal Work Preference

In the world today, people have to basically compete with each other to obtain fundamental necessities and material comforts for living. Self-employed and owning your own business were the same I thought. A lot of people dream of owning their own business for many reasons. I think both are beneficial to us in a lot of ways. And they both have their ups and downs. As for me personally, I’d rather work for a company than own my own business.

Although I do strive to obtain self-employment one day for it allows you to work when you want and sometimes spend more time for your family. It also allows you to give other a employment for their livelihood. But depending on the business it can also take you away from your family when needed because .of the demand for you to be there at all times. I wouldn’t say tricky but as well as owning your own business you have to have the utmost knowledge and skills. And working for a company you also have to have these same skills if not more to even be considered for hire.

Some considerations prior to working for ourselves are having various skills, such as technical skills, financial skills, management skills and much more. Although having the knowledge, it does not mean that I can run a company on my own. Most entreprenuers have to spend

most of their time developing their new born business at the expense of their time for family and health. Another example is not being able to find projects for a new born company in order to guarantee steady incomes and make the company survive as well. So having my own business would be strenuous and a huge task which causes a lot of stress. A fear for me when owning your won company would have to be if your company does not perform well and it makes a loss you have the option of selling it as soon as you can.
