Introduction:

Since February, 2015 I am serving ‘The ACME Agrovet & Beverages Ltd.’ as an Executive in Human Resource (HR) Department. As I am working in HR department so I handle the Recruitment & Selection procedure to hire new manpower to our company. Now I am going to brief the Recruitment & Selection procedure of ‘The ACME Agrovet & Beverages Ltd’.  and my suggestions to improve it from my learning in HRMC Recruitment class.

Company Introduction: The ACME Agrovet & Beverages Ltd. has started its journey in 2005 as a member of ACME Group, the leading corporate house in Bangladesh. Within a short span of time, it has been able to create a strong foothold in the market through its quality products and customer services. For its obsession, the company achieved ISO 22000 for its food safety management system. Strong commitment to quality, adoption of advanced technology, stress on human resource development, focus on continuous improvement and introduction of new products for the growing markets has given the company a decisive position in the industry.

Briefly I am going to discuss recruitment and selection process of ‘The ACME Agrovet & Beverages Ltd’ below

Chart: Recruitment & Selection Process

Step-1 Requisition Receive & Approve: First we receive manpower requisition from concern department with proper justification. Then we approve it from management for next processing.

Step-2 Advertisement: After approving of requisition we prepare Advertisement and publish it both internal (through mail/ notice board) & external media (BD jobs/ national newspaper).

Step-3 Short list of CV: In step 3 we short list CV from the applied candidates as per our requirement (i.e. Job description, Job specification)

Step-4 written exam: In this step we invite the short listed candidates through phone call to attend a written exam to our office.

Step-5 Interview & Negotiation: The candidates who passed the written exam are invited again to face an interview. Here we try to pick the best candidates as per our requirement through unstructured interview and negotiate with them about compensation and other benefits. Even, they are also asked about the notice period to the existing company during this interview.
