INTRODUCTION

        Facebook is a social media which is used by people to interact with their friends and family members. It is the most popular website which helps to connect people all over the globe. It was found that more than 1.86 billion people are active users across the globe. Facebook as become one important identity to the people. Facebook has created a new app called messanger. The main purpose for this is to help the people to send a text message and share photos more easily and it also increases the efficiency of speed in sending a message. The new Facebook has only focused in news feed, sharing and posting of status.

Facebook helps people to share their photos easily, to send a text message, and to have free video calling with their friends and families. Also it gives the facility to share the post or status so that one can find the current status of their friends and acquaintance. Other than this it also helps the users to conduct an event in a more easy way. Rather than being just a medium to connect people, it helps the small to large sized business firms to use Facebook as a platform to advertise their products and services.

Facebook page has many potential benefits for business firms. Though marketing a product and services involves a huge amount of money, advertising through Facebook costs very less. This will be useful to small and medium scales business firms. It also helps the firms to share their basic information about their organization like about the features of their products and services, contacting details, address, past history and so on. It gives a platform to also share the pictures of their products and services and firms can also share the advertising video of their products and services which portrays the features of the products. It will create a strong and healthy relationship with the active and existing customers by contacting them through a text message. Also customers can ask any queries related to the products and services in their Facebook wall so that can be addressed by them immediately and easily. Facebook can helps to promote the products and services and breeds in generating a positive word of mouth through an loyal customers of the products and services.
