The paper and packaging industry is one of the industries responsible to many of these important issues. In the U.S, each person uses 749 pounds of paper every year and total consumption is around 187 billion pounds per year for the entire population. World paper consumption has grown 400 percent in the last 40 years. Now, take a minute to consider how many trees are pruned, how much water are used to produce wood pulp, and how many papers are wasted in packaging.

Mobius105 by YFY Corp. (http://www.mobius105.com/) the taiwan-based company launches their new product, Npulp from a revolutionary straw-pulp technology, which makes paper from waste straw instead of from pine trees. The burning straw contributes to air pollution and CO2 emissions. Through bio-pulping technology, a proprietary enzymatic process will eliminates the use of harsh chemicals when converting straw to straw pulp and will also reduce the water usage. The entire Npulp production is completed in less than four hours. From 600 million tons of straw, Mobius105 aims to produce 345 million tons of Npulp, equal to the amount of wood pulp produced globally every year. Although the current Npulp is not making paper for daily office use, it is ready for use to produce corrugated cardboard, mold cushion packaging and other conventional paper products.
