SACHIN TENDULKAR “THE GOD OF CRICKET”

Sachin Tendulkar also popular as Master Blaster, Little Master and Bombay Bomber is a Living Legend and is the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He was born in Mumbai on 24 April 1973. Sachin started his cricket career at high school. He is a right handed batman. Ramakant Achrekar was his coach and his mentor too. To encourage him he used to put one rupee coin on the stumps, and the player who dismissed Sachin would get the coin and if Sachin survives the whole inning he would get the coin. Sachin considered those 13 coins earned from his mentor as greatest possession. In school days Sachin wants to be a fast bowler, until Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee advised him to focus on his batting rather on bowling. When he was young everybody started predicting that this small boy will make it big one day and he stood by all the expectations through these years.

Personal Life

Sachin was born in Rajapur Saraawat Brahmis family. Ramesh Tendulkar, his father was a Marathi Novelist. Tendulkar has 3 siblings, 2 brothers Ajit and Nitin and 1 sister Savita. His elder brother Ajit encouraged him cricket. In 1995, Sachin married Anjali, a doctor and daughter of an industrialist. They have two Children Sara and Arjun. Sachin has a great importance of God in his life, he is a God fearing man whenever he gets time he visits temples. Sachin is also known for his kind hearted nature and is a real gentleman and is down to earth in real life. Evert year he sponsored 200 underprivileged children through Apnalaya, a Mumbai based NGO.

Career

In, 1988 in an inter-school matches he scored centuries in every matches. Sunil Gavaskar, legendary batman was very impressed by him and gave him his batting pads. Then again late 1988 he scored 100 not out in first class match. He was the youngest player to score century in debut first class match. Everybody praised and appreciated hi batting skills. Then he became to first player who scored a century in debuts of Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy. At the age of 16, he played his first Test match in Karachi but didn't performed well in that match. During the series his nose got injured but still he continued playing and scored 53 runs of 18 balls, every team member were impressed by his passion for playing.

In 1990 during his England tour he became the second player to score century at Old Trafford.

During his Australia tour he was 148 runs not out and preformed extraordinarily. In 1992 he was the first overseas player and played for Yorkshire English country and scored 1070 runs. In 1992-93 he became youngest player to score 100 runs in test. In the year 1996 he performed brilliantly in his second tour to England.
