i'am a student of university X. This case study enhance knowledge in variety of purposes in the value innovation and creating new market space as it link to the Blue Ocean Strategy. Blue oceans, in contrast, are defined by untapped market space, demand creation, and the opportunity for highly profitable growth. Cirque du Soleil very successfully entered a structurally unattractive circus industry. The company was able to reinvent the industry and created a new market space by challenging the traditional way in circus industry. Cirque du Soleil was successfully innovated several strategies in order to be different in this industry. Part of the strategy is by shifting the buyer group from children (end-users of the traditional circus) to adults (purchasers of the traditional circus), creating new concept in mix of the circus arts and street entertainment. The company also transformed by drawing upon the distinctive strengths in their performance to be at par with other alternative industries, such as the theater and the opera, offer a different fashion and venue other than eliminate factors that not generate revenue and try to reduce cost There are two types of strategy: structuralist strategies that assume that the operating environment is given and reconstructionist strategies that seek to shape the environment. In choosing which of the two is most appropriate for your organization, consider environmental attractiveness, the capabilities and resources you can call on, and whether your organization has a strategic orientation for competing or for innovating. Whichever type of strategy is chosen, success will depend on creating an aligned set of strategy propositions. The reconstructionist approach is exemplified by the cases of the city-state of Dubai, Apple's iTunes, and the charity Comic Relief.
