People's Republic of China is a socialist country. China is run by a single party, called communist party. The National People's Congress is the national legislature of the People’s Republic of China. Chinese culture has been last for thousands years. And the culture has covered a large geographical region in east of Asia.

China has diverse physical features. Mountains and hills cover about two-third of the region, which make China a mountainous country.

According to record in 2013, China is the world’s most populous country. There are about 1.357 billion of people in China.

2. What is a region and why is in an important concept? Can you give an example of a region?

Region is an important concept in geography. Regions can be use to describe the different characteristics, such as physical characteristics and environmental characteristics. In the United State, the states that located in the south part of the US are identified as the South region. It have similar climates and similar crops. Eco region is a term used in environmental geography, such as Oceania, Neotropical, Palearctic and Nearctic.
