Wisconsin’s After 20 Weeks cannot have an Abortion

This article talks about how Wisconsin’s Governor Scott Walker signs a bill that bans abortion after twenty week of pregnancy.  There is controversy because his main reason he signed it because he says the unborn baby starts feeling pain then and that we should protect it.  Others say the baby does not feel pain until six more weeks.  This bill has no exceptions for rape or incest which displeased many people.  A similar ban is planning to be brought to the U.S. Senate which Obama said he would veto.

The ban on abortion after twenty weeks is a step in the right direction from the Catholic Church’s perspective.  The Church has always been against abortion knowing it is a bad practice and sin.  It is a step in the right direction because there should be less abortions which means less lives lost of babies that didn’t even get to see the world and live this life.  If a bill like this come to the Senate, hopefully they will pass it and after the passing of that, the Church hopes that all abortions would be banned.

I believe this ban on abortion after twenty weeks of pregnancy is great.  I stand with the Catholic Church and how it is a sinful, bad practice.  I believe every baby has the right to life and when I heard about Wisconsin passing this bill I became excited because I know other states are going to bring up the same bill and hopefully this eventually leads to a permanent end to abortion in the United States.  I try to go on the March for Life every year to show that abortion is wrong and that I stand against.  I don’t want it to take anymore lives.
