Read and analyze the case: “Robin Hood” in Part 2, Section C of the Thompson et al. textbook. Then address the following questions.

• What problems does Robin Hood have? What issues need to be addressed?

There are some problems what Robin Hood have listed below:

- First of all, due to personal crusade against Sheriff and his administration, Robin Hood began to recruit more allies to help him. However, Robin Hood met the problems in recruiting because “he welcomed all who came, asking few questions and demanding only a willingness to serve” (Thompson, A., Strickland, A., & Gamble, J., 2010, p.522). Robin Hood believed that the success of personal crusade belong to the lay in numbers of troops. In fact, the more men that came to him, the more complicated his revolt got. The increasing size of the band leads to losing control his allies.

- The growing band also is the big problems relating to the source of food and the shortage of finance.

- Just as the numbers of Merry men are growing, travelers are beginning to find alternate routes through the forest to avoid apprehension, causing a decline in the band’s revenue stream.

• Do Robin Hood and the Merrymen need a new mission? new objectives? a new strategy?

The Robin Hood and the Merrymen are very essential to need a new effective strategy to solve the problems and maintain the revolt due to :

- As Thompson, A., Strickland, A., & Gamble, J. said, travelers are scare of the development of Merrymen; thus, they are beginning to avoid the forest, despite added cost and inconvenience, to protect their belongings. This problem lead to declining the revenue of Robin Hood and Merrymen.

- The Sheriff is using powerful connections to apply added pressure to Robin and the Merrymen.

- The offers of barons asked Robin to help them in the mission to free King Richard and Robin will be pardoned in the future. However, this mission is not the main goal of Merrymen organization. The unofficial mission of the gang
