Activity 1: Watching “ The Vampire Diaries 3 ”
Introduction
Last semester, I watched two seasons of the vampire diaries at home with the subtitles in English. I found it very interesting and attracting for me. So in this term, I decided to keep on running after it. I think it kind of like a hobby of me. I enjoyed watching it and imaging the development of the story in this series, and meanwhile. I very appreciated that it also is an effective way to improve my English. The same with the last term, I watched it every Friday night because it renewed every seven days. I remembered that I said I wanted to watch it without the subtitles. So I tried my best to complete it.

Through this activity, I think I gained a lot of benefits from it. For instance, I tried very hard to complete it without the subtitles first time, and I almost could understand the meaning. And I watched the second time, so I can finish the last things that I was not able to understand. I realized that this is very helpful for me to improve my listening skills.
In the mean time, I can learn many new words and expressions from it, especially the local authentic uses of English in America For example, when people whose mother tongue is English want to express that they know one thing totally, they like to say “ I know you like the back of my hand” . In this way, we can completely express the meaning vividly.
Above all, this activity is very helpful for me to improve my English level, even in every aspect.
