Both were students of University Of Wisconsin , but only his father later went on to teach at the university where he would be when jobs was born. His father had no choice but to give jobs up for adoption because him himself was a professor and being that it was the 50s children born out wedlock wasn't really smiled upon . Therefore as soon as steve was born he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Unknown to him, his biological parents would subsequently marry (December 1955), have a second child, Mona Simpson, in 1957, and divorce in 1962 Steve's biological parents however didn't just "give him up to anybody Joanne suggested that whoever adopted him had to both have a college educations. but sadly Paul and Clara didn't hold up to the expectations. they were a lower middle class that lived in the bay area after the war and Paul was a Machinist who never graduated High School Nevertheless Joanne let them adopt him under one condition ,That they had to send him to college once he graduated high school. Paul and Clara called him Steven. When Steven was a toddler they moves to Santa Clara county. They later adopted another baby, a girl this time. They called her Patty and she was adopted in 1958. Paul worked as a mechanic and a carpenter, and taught his son electronics and how to work with his hands. He became intrigued so much so that he skipped the 5th grade and went straight to middle school. Most kids did not work much there, they rather bullied other kids like Steve. One day he came home and declared that if he wasn't transferred to another school, he would stop going to school altogether. He was 11. Paul and Clara complied, and the they moved to Los Altos, so that Steve could go to Cupertino Junior High. As Steve was growing up in Los Altos, he became curious about the world of electronics that filled his neighbors' garages. His own father introduced him to Heathkits, When Steve arrived in Homestead High School, he enrolled in a popular electronics class.
