Quick Fix ADSL Modem Problem

ADSL Modems are connected to a telephone line. When there is no yellow light on DSL, you have to make a phone call for 1 minute. That is the first simple step of fixing ADSL Modem. To know the specified problem, please do the following steps:

1. Go to http://192.168.0.1 page.

2. Log in with admin/admin

3. Click 'Diagnostics'.

4. Click 'Test' button. It is going to test and report you the problem.

Sometimes it could be a phone line problem, Sometimes it could be a modem problem.

If it is because of a phone line problem, it will show FAIL in DSL line synchronisation. You have to make a phone call for 1 minute.

If it is because of a modem problem, it will show FAIL in Interface (PC to Modem). You have to restart your modem manually.

Please diagnostic first before you restart your modem. Otherwise, you are wasting your time by restarting your modem while it is a problem of a phone line. ADSL goes through a phone line. Wifi normally set up on a router which is connected to either ADSL modem or Fiber Optic. So you cannot compare Wifi and Fiber Optic. It is two different things. It is completely not related.
