Introduction

In the era of the rapid business change, still all the involved experts recommend the employment of highest technical tools. Access to the global business via the Internet is corresponding with using wireless, simply to make the matter fast and easy to touch the loyal customers and fulfill their requirements.

In their article titled “Integrated Wireless Technologies for Smart Homes Applications”, Al-Qutayri and Jeedella presented valuable information regarding the art technologies’ state and additionally, these associated applications corresponding to smart homes’ field.

The authors clarified the overview of main wireless communication technical tools, which could form major part of the related infrastructure of the theme of modern smart home. Hence, they state some of these smart technologies, especially with a reference to their integration within networking and sensing devices such as WiFi, RFID, Bluetooth, and Zigbee.

Additionally, there is an indication to other used wireless technologies, particularly GSM that according to the argument of the authors, are considered of the wider format which could successfully form the required largest network along with certain integration with the others dedicated for the short range.

The article shows in arrangement some of the recent sensors, which can be employed successfully in the smart homes. Truly, some of them can be considered of an embedded ubiquitous style, which can be equipped with the wireless communication capacities along with the easy way in connecting them to other devices. As to the application area, the authors include some appliance's monitors, control, safety, security, information access, environment control, energy saving, and telehealth care.

In order to get an in-depth analysis, the authors included a case study of a smart home system that is seen as one of a complete end-to-end, whereas employed in order to control and monitor the home appliances, especially when using a wireless phone.

One critical notice deserves to be mentioned, this prototype system employed GSM as an external network and additionally, the Bluetooth as the internal one.
