A global phenomenon

It’s nearly impossible in this day and age not to know about Facebook. It’s so entertaining, and as of today, it is a cultural phenomenon stretching across the globe and has more worldwide users than any other social network. Facebook has taken hold as undisputable leader amongst all social networking sites and wants you to be friends with people outside the Internet and to use their site as a commonality among you and your real life friends.

The home screen or the “wall” let’s you search for someone you want to talk to, send them a message, and see a list of their friends and invite them into your network of friends that way you can Share photos, notes and news feeds. Your friends can also post comments on your profile wall; also they can see what music you are listening to, the website you are on or what you’ve just bought on Amazon.

Profiles allow users to post pictures, comments, blogs and apps. (They can make comment like the weather or tell a joke and they can share your music, movie or book selections, also you can add quizzes, support tags, feeds and more.), and it has encouraged people to use the site to foster relationships with people you already know, or friends of friends, and if you’re new to the whole social networking thing and you want to be entertained and have lots of fun, well, facebook is the way to go. 


Also, it has some of the best privacy options on the internet, privacy settings in facebook are really specific and you can make your entire profile private, (everyone, friends of friends and friends) only you can select which section of your profile you would like to be displayed and to whom. For example, your Wall can be open to everyone, but your photographs can be set to only display to your friends or friends of friends, and the same is true for your personal
