The Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government- in exile has a great challenge in its quest to proceed in preserving their freedom and cultural survival. Surely, there has been greater person then the Dalai Lama who has worked and represented the Tibetan people. As time goes on it seems their struggle becomes greater and greater as China put facts on the ground and as the Dalai Lama has accused China of cultural suicide regarding the Tibetan culture.

It is very hard if not impossible to create a viable nation-state outside of the country. China is intent on having Tibet a part of China. Given its economic prowess and influence in the world today this does not bode well for who desire a free and independent Tibet. Inside Tibet China is working hard to obliterate Tibetan culture and language. Using the educational system, mass media, and government control China is diligently trying to make those in Tibet think of themselves at being a part of China first.

The Dalai Lama and those striving for freedom and cultural survival have already tried to do so much through so many organizations including with efforts to support the Tibetan language, culture, dance, music, and religious traditions. The Tibetan culture is too precious to loose and efforts must continue.

The Dalai Lama must keep up his global appearances and motivate his own people with hope and the desire to keep trying. The young children of Tibet should be the focus with educating them in the ways and customs of the people of Tibet and its language and history. A deep recognition within their soul of who they are, Tibetans.

The world needs to constantly be reminded about Tibet, what has happened to it and the need for a free and independent Tibet. Film, presentations, museum exhibits, newsletters, websites, festivals, and full usage all types of media should be used.
