Introduction

Teenagers about age of 13 and above are now requesting plastic surgery frequently (Bell, 2015). The basic definition of plastic surgery is a medical procedure of reconstructing body’s parts and facial through surgical process in order to alternate or change the appearance due to burns, injury, or to look normal. Plastic surgery became addiction to both genres females and males, but it focuses more on girls, specifically teenagers as they mostly claim underdoing it is for confidence reasons, and media pressure (Hamdan, 2015). A research that was conducted by UAE’s first plastic surgery consultancy shows that about 40 percent of the patients undergoing plastic surgery now are men, as their number keeps increasing. The reasons were because men are having more pressure because of women independency, as they are having a strong appearance in the work fields. Also, they are more into makeover their looks, so men want to look better and be part of the spotlight that is upon the women, so the both men and women undergo plastic surgery for personal reasons. This research argues that plastic surgery should be banned for teenagers because it reflects negatively on their appearance and looks, and teenagers have higher risk factors than adults.
