The police officer that shot and killed the young man said he was wielding a knife, so the officer felt threatened and shot him. The dashboard camera in the officer’s car caught the whole incident that happened. The Police Department that the officer worked for wouldn’t release any details about the officer except that the officer was going to have charges brought against this officer for murder i9n this shooting. This city has had a long history over the past 30 to 40 years of corruption, misconduct, and police brutality under Police Commander Jon Burge, and some officers under his command at the time. A robbery suspect in Albuquerque, New Mexico, had been shot at by a police officer apparently the robbery suspect had a gun and was told by the officer to toss it in the air then the officer shot at the victim 8 times. This officer was wearing a body camera that captured the whole incident on camera, apparently the officer had fired at the victim at least 4 times before the victim had tossed his gun then the camera shows the officer shot 4 more times after the victim dropped his weapon.  The city of Albuquerque has paid out millions in lawsuits because of a corrupt police department; there have been many questionable incidents with this Police Department over the years. The officer involved in the shooting is being charged with murder, the police department tried to cover up the wrong doing by saying that the robbery suspect whose name was Joaquin Ortega 35, had pointed the gun at the officer.  In the video of the confrontation between the officer and the victim, there was UN professionalism in the way that the officer spoke to the victim; there was excessive use of force, police corruption with the police department.
