In the previous traditional world of working arena, management was designed for controlling and limiting the employees, enforce rules and regulations, a hierarchy that is flow from the top to the bottom where the authority is being centralized by the top management, find for the stability and efficiency, and search the best way for achieving the goals of the organization without thinking for the benefits of themselves but for the benefits of the organization.

In the globalization world, the organizations have been knocking against by the latest technology and the economics of the world is changing from the time to time. Hence the traditional management theory has been changes by the new era of the management theory. Management skills and capabilities that a manager has should be able to adapt to the changes in the turbulent environment.

As a manager, the manager should have the skills and competencies that are needed to for manage the organization effectively, which include manage the diversity, adapting to the globalization turbulent environment and manage the crisis that are occurring around the organization. Manager should have a new management thinking to overcome the problem of their organization in the turbulent time. Management also focuses on the issues of the managing the technology-driven workplace which include the supply chain management, outsourcing and customer relationship management.

Company applies the concept of environment which can be divided into external and internal environment. Internal environment covers management, environment and culture. External environment is categorized into task and general. Task environment involves competitors, labor market, suppliers and customers. General environment involves politics, economics, socio cultural, international, naturals and technology. As a manager should have a high-performance culture as a responsive responds from the environment that is changing every time.

A manager should have the ethical values in the organization. Nowadays the managers have to challenge the ethical issue in the organization
