Why is good preparation important in lab investigation?

The reason scientists prepare before conducting an experiment is because when the lab is prepared it helps you stay safe while doing activities.

Identify two steps you should take to prepare for a lab?

Two very important steps for preparing a lab are reading the procedure and making sure you understand all instructions. Reading instructions is mandatory because if you accidentally add to chemicals together that should not be together it could cause major problems. Reading and understanding safety instructions is major because in order to have fun and stay safe you must be against and aware of how to stop any problems and if their are any safety concerns you should follow.

What might happen if you did not follow the steps you identified in question b?

If a scientist does not read the produce they may botch the experiment because they don’t know the proper steps to make the experiment complete. If a scientist doesn’t review safety info they may accidentally get hurt while doing the procedure because of a safety concern.

What should you do immediately after any lab accident?

When any accident occurs no matter how minor, notify your teacher immediately. Then listen to your teacher's instructions and carry them out quickly.

Your lab partner cuts herself and stops the bleeding with a tissue from her pocket. Did she follow the proper procedure?

She did not follow protocol at all. She should have notified a teacher for instructions before she whipped out a tissue and dealt with it herself.
