Nordic mythology has many special parts, most of the fairy will describe the glory of the creation. However, northern myth mainly describe the destruction of the world. The Norsemen believe that the god is not perfect and would grown old and die in an old age. This is the most different places between Nordic mythology and other mythology in the world. On the other hand, Nordic myth believe that when things die, new life will form, everything in the world is a cycle.

the world tree is also called yggdrasil ['igdrəsil], it is a giant ash in the Nordic mythology, it is the pillar of the entire world, it consists of three major parts, each part divided into three different countries.

The world tree conceived in the past, grows in the now and extend to the future. It has three giant roots which leads to different places respectively. One reaches the atrium ['ɑ:triəm], it is the place where human lives, another one leads to the land of giants, which is the giant's residence, the last one is the gate way to the Niflheim ['nivəlheim], an eternal cold, dark and foggy world, a rust dragon under the giant root kept biting the root, until one day it bite the trees, the dusk of the gods will come.

Odin has many titles, he is the god of victory and wisdom, he sacrificed one of his eye for wisdom, he is the protector of the noble and hero, known as the father of the gods. He set on his throne and can see every movements of all creatures, included the gods, giant, dwarf, spirit and human. The throne can only used by Odin and his wife, the goddess of love, frigga, when they sat together, they always facing the south and west, these two directions are the hope source of Nordic people.

Usually the Odin's appearance were said to be fifty, he dressed in grey, wearing a big cap and grey with green striped cloak, this represent the northern sky, and he always holding the spear of eternal, indicating the towering power.
