1.- How has the change in the behavior of consumers influenced the shopping center industry?

Nowadays people are more likely to buy then before, that’s why the shopping center industry has a big growth process. Due to the intelligent advertisings we, consumers, are influenced that we need something even if we don’t need and we look for different locations where to buy this or that thing. The biggest choice of products we can find only in shopping malls, so the majority of people who have money have started to go there and appreciated it because it is comfortable and we can find everything we want.

In addition, another important factor that influence the shopping center industry is that the fact that nowadays people don’t come to shopping malls only to buy but to spend time and to have fun. This is a big change that consumers did because before they were coming only to make a purchase. Today we can see families, friends and even people coming alone (because people like being surrounded by people) to spend a good day at the shopping center. And it is important because when you come with this idea you have a good mood and this good mood influences positively and make you buy something.

For nowaday’s consumers, the idea of buying process has changed and  the decision-making process has become  more complicated and important then it was before. Changes in consumer tastes and preferences have increased the income of shopping malls and also have made increase the ability of consumers to spend their money. Due to the main factors that influence the choice of the store and attract customers to the shopping center, which are space, atmosphere, entertainment and amenities, we come to shopping malls more often then before. The growth of shopping centers, retailers, and outlets indicates that consumer behavior has a positive influence on shopping centers and is favorable for growing business segment.
