Globalization Argumentative Paper

Imagine that you are the owner of a profitable medium sized company that produces and sells various electronic devices locally in the Unites States. These devices range from hand held tablets to digital cameras. You have been successful so far in your endeavors as a business person but would like to increase your sales and profits. What about globalization? You’ve heard this word before, being discussed in the business world, but have you put much thought into implementing it into your company? “Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different countries.” (2014,The Levin Institute) (1, premise) Globalization will connect you to the world beyond the United States. (1, premise) You will have a wider reach to consumers who can purchase your products. (1, premise) You can outsource production to other countries, allowing your company to save on manufacturing costs. (1, premise) You will also be benefiting the citizens of these other countries by creating more job opportunities and raising their economic standards. (1, conclusion) Globalization is good for business all around.

What makes something “good” for business? I believe if it makes you profitable, more successful or benefits yourself and others, then it is “good”. Hiring knowledgeable employees is good for business. Finding ways to save money is good for business. Globalization, in most cases, is good for business. (2, conclusion) You would now be able to sell your products to people in distant markets with the same ease as you can locally. (2, premise) This will create more demand as your company name becomes known around the world. There’s nothing better than the feeling of fame and being recognized for your accomplishments!
