The Profit

       “The Profit” is a reality show in America. In each episode,  Marcus Lemonis who is a Lebanese-born American businessman uses his expertise and experience to save some small companies. He will offer some capital to the companies and manage the companies for several days.  He can exchange for an ownership stake in the companies by saving the companies. In one episode, Marcus Lemonis save a small cleaner company called Eco-Me. 

     Eco-Me is company of great potential, because its products’ cleaning results is very good. Nearly everyone saw the cleaning result will feel amazed. That is the most important reason for Marcus Lemonis choose this company. However, its products’ packages have a great problem. For making the products meaningful for the staff and president, there are some names on the packages, such as Emma, Bill, and David. The president said that these names all represented the actual people. However, the customer will not care about the meaning of these names. These names only give the confusedness to customers, because the name cannot give any information about the products to customers. They did not consider the thought from customers. In addition, for giving the convenience for customers, Marcus Lemonis changed lips into the lips that do not need to open when customers want to use the cleaner. 

The president also said that this cleaner can be used to everywhere, such as kitchen room and bathroom. Therefore, they did not categorize the products. However, when people buy the cleaners, they will have a purpose that where they want to use. In that situation, customers are easy to ignore this product. At the end, Marcus Lemonis designed a new package to the products, which has a tree and put some items that can be cleaned by this product in this tree. He also deleted the names on the packages and divided the products into different categories, such as bath and toilet.
