        Did you know classical Athens and Han China had many differences? There were many differences, like women had different rights and there government’s ere the opposite. I’m going to talk about their governments, women and children being different between both periods. As we read we will see the differences between Classical Athens and Han China. Most of them will involve children, women, and government.

        During both of the periods the women were only seen as house wives. In the Classical Athens period the women could never leave their homes, only if there was a funeral, festival or child birth. The women would have their heads covered because it’s a rule. Their women were much like slaves, and had only so many rights under the law. If you were from Han China and you had poor traits, her name will not preserve, and can’t avoid shame. Women had to have three traits which are humility, industriousness and most of all counting the sacrifices. Women had to be very careful to do their work neatly.

        Han China and Classical Athens governments were always different. Han Chinas government was centralized. Their emperor as the supreme ruler, son of heaven. Many people believed that heaven was the one who chose the person that was ready for being the ruler on earth. The sole ruler of the empire needed help from people to aid him rule. The ruler put governors in each district of the empire.
