 (A) Relocate

         Recently, a debate has arisen about whether or not the government in Zhuhai should relocate fishermen in Xiangzhou. Some people hold the opinion that the fishermen are able to stay in Xiangzhou pier, the government ought to take the responsibility for protecting fishermen’s rights. Some citizens, however, argue that Zhuhai government should relocate Xiangzhou fishermen because it will develop Zhuhai better. In fact, the government relocate fishermen have more benefits for the development of Zhuhai’s economic, urban cultural and citizens’ life.

        Some citizens said that moving the fishermen has deeply negative influences on their lives. However, Wang, G. (2010, August) Claims that it is an indisputable fact that infrastructure is important for the development of a city. If the government can spend more money on building a theater in a modern environment, it definitely will improve most citizens’ living standards. Keeping fishermen there will damage the image of the beautiful and clean opera house. It is also a good way to attract more tourists to come to Zhuhai.

        Some citizens argue that fishing has been the symbol of Zhuhai. Nevertheless, fine arts have become an integral part of urban culture. Orchestral music, dramas and operas can make a city’s modern culture more energetic. Musicals help to define a city and give the members of that city a strong sense of belonging. Lyons, A. (2010) claims that by appreciating different kinds of music, people learn to appreciate cultural differences and become more open- minded. The citizens of Zhuhai will have a sense of pride.

        The final reason for why government should relocate fishermen in Xiangzhou is it is a good way to create jobs for fishermen.  Fishermen make a living by catching fish near the Xiangzhou, the theater may influence the life of the fishermen. However, it is a good chance to create jobs. It creates employment opportunities through the construction and maintenance of theaters. The government will try their best to supply more jobs to the fishermen. They also will take responsibility for protecting fishermen’s rights.

        In conclusion, government in Zhuhai ought to relocate fishermen in Xiangzhou . it is benefits the majority citizens in Zhuhai, and it also benefits  the development of urban culture of Zhuhai. And the most important reason is that it will promote the economy development of Zhuhai. If the Zhuhai government relocated Xiangzhou fishermen, it will create a more modern environment for the opera house and develop quickly into an international and city.
