The Reproductive Health Bill/Law

1. Introduction

Over the years, several bills have been filed in both the Senate and Congress, proposing a law on “Reproductive Health”; all provoked the most polarizing public debates. It seems hard to think as to why some people are still against it when almost the entire world has been practicing contraception, family planning and such. This paper will try to examine the real issues involved and why the proposed bill has divided our country once again. Philippines have declared that the RH Bill will become a law here in our country because of the overpopulation or we exceeded the Philippine’s carrying capacity. Republic Act 10354 or the Responsible Parenthod and Reproductive Health Law of 2012 (RH Law) is a national policy that andates the Philippine Government to comphrehensively address the needs of Filipino citezens when it  comes to responsible parenthood and reporductive health. RH Law is rooted on the human rights of every individual including their right to sustainable human discrimination, the right to health including RH and the right to make decisions for themselves in accordance with their religious convictions ethics, cultural beliefs and the demands of responsible parenthood.

The RH law also recognizes the valuable institution and foundation of the family and guarantees the promotion of gender equality, gender equity, women empowerment and dignity as a health and human rights concern and as a social responsibility. In this position paper I would like to responsed on the said bills/laws, hereby, that I’m agaisnt on it and I will discussed this issues with all my comphrehensive toughts and ideas that I know, for me to help our country, for us to be more ready to what will happen after this period of time.
