Introduction

Ellen DeGeneres is not only the star of a major comedy talk show but also known for her sense of humor and strong sense of self. Ellen possesses extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience. These are all qualities that make her stand out above all others. She has strong values and beliefs and many look up to her because she is a huge advocate for lending a hand. Ellen uses her show to raise money for certain organizations and includes segments that help her viewers who are suffering. She is a huge activist for gay rights and has worked hard to eliminate prejudice in society. These are all factors that contribute to her leadership qualities and success. One of the major reasons why Ellen is considered to be such a valuable leader for our generation is because of her constant stress on equality in our community, and how important it is to enforce the golden rule; for everyone to treat others how they would like to be treated. A main reason that Ellen is considered to be valuable in our society today is because of her work with constant organizations and in the LGBT (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community. From speaking out against ban on gay marriage to helping the community sufferers of Hurricane Katrina, Ellen is a perfect example of what a leader should be.

Success for Ellen

Ellen DeGeneres is a standup comedian who went from working in coffee shops to doing movies and later on her own TV show. She started off just doing stand-up comedy which eventually led to her being offered her own sitcom called “Ellen”, and it became success from then on. Through having her own show Ellen is constantly finding opportunities to help individuals around the world and utilize her success to help this happen.
