One Wrong Turn

The purr of the engine makes me feel alive, the smell of burning rubber. Racing is my life. The best part is the adrenaline rush you get when you launch off the starting line. I am DeAndre Perry. I am in a street racing crew called Nos. The Thing I love more than racing is my little girl Gracy. She is my everything.

I know street racing is illegal but its worth it. Each race the winner gets $5000 in cash. My race record is 21 wins 1 loss. Only one person has beaten me, his name is Vincent Schwartz. He is apart of our rival gang The Screamers. The would do anything to win. They would even kill someone if they were a big enough threat to their win record. Next week is the big Inner City Tournament. The winner will get 1,000,000 dollars. that would pay off all of our debt.

After lunch I went to the park with Gracy. When we got there I saw the crew under the pavilion. Gracy loves to see the crew. They were meeting up to talk about the big race. They wanted to have me race because I have the fastest car, the Hennessey Venom GT. The only problem is the race is on Gracy’s birthday. Me and gracy left and went to go and get ice cream.

I wanted to spend the whole day with gracy but i have the race. I think i have a idea I will take Gracy. When we get there I see The Screamers. they have Vincent Schwartz racing In his Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. This would be a hard race to win. I let gracy sit in the front row at the corner of Everist Dr and Quail Run Rd. The race will start in 10min.

I went to go and talk to my crew. They said that Vincent has put nitro in his car. I head to the starting line as the light turned yellow which means that there is only one minute till the start of the race. As the light turned green i hit the gas and shifted my car into first
