In many locations, not just Africa, human rights are being violated. Some people are trying to help by contributing to the fight, but only so much can be done with limited man power. In some parts of Africa where the fighting is severe, the U.S. has posted military stations to help keep the violence under seize. Things like overnight militant killings, rapes, and kidnappings have been slowly diminished but still are happening regardless. The human rights violations in Africa have been going on for many years, but I’ll be focusing on the human right violation #13 (the right to seek asylum).

I got most of my information from www.hrw.com but I got a small amount from a PDF file shared by the U.S. Department of State. According to a chart I found on www.UNHCR.org, every single request to leave the country has been granted and they even helped them leave. It makes you wonder about why you still hear about all of the struggles happening in Africa today and why there is so much violence, poverty, and famine. Why more people don’t request to leave? I believe this means that some of the people that are still living in famine and poverty don’t have a choice, they are probably living in a ghetto where a militant group is scaring them into staying or they just simply don’t have the money to evacuate. That’s just partially my perspective/take on the situation though.

One of the most broad and frequently asked question on the topic is “What is being done to stop the violence and wrong-doings in Africa”? Well to answer that question I did a little research on www.adra.org and found out that many people have been donating money, food, clothing, and several other household items to Africa, this not only helps poverty but is helping prevent the need to rob others for their possesions.
