A Humble Hero. A Living Saint. Abdul Sattar Edhi. A resident of Karachi, Edhi has certainly created a huge impact and influence around the world as advocate of serving humanity and will without doubt continue to do so.

Aiding flood victims across Bangladesh, helping disabled individuals across the world or installing an efficient ambulance system throughout Pakistan Edhi has done it all. However he has not stopped at this and will carry on his mission to serve the human race.

Edhi has come from a poor background, has a soft and kind heart, and is always humble and modest. Perhaps this is why, from his childhood he has never refrained from giving charity even though it meant spending from his own pocket money. Unlike superheroes who have superpowers in their possession Edhi battles with his compassionate , empathetic and loving yet confident attitude and has been extremely successful in achieving so much.

Initially in his dream in working towards the betterment of humankind Edhi has faced several struggles. People refused to trust him when he asked for donations for the poor and needy. Moreover he came from a poor household and had nearly no funds to start any substantial charity organization. Nevertheless just like any other hero he solved his struggles and moved on to open a charity organization which would receive international recognition

People often question what led to Edhi becoming a hero, in reality he was always a hero but was recognized much later in his life. His humbleness can be attested by the fact that even after earning quite some money he gave most of it as charity and leads an extremely simple life himself. Edhi’s hosing clothing and food are the epitome of simplicity and modesty.

The respect and trust Edhi has earned throughout his life are that of no other Pakistani. People today trust him blindly and donate to his charity organization without the slightest doubts of it being misused. He has and will
