What is leadership?

The word “leadership” brings various diversified images in our minds when we give it a think, which can be one of these:

  • An army office cutting a path through the jungle, during a war, for the rest of his men to follow.
  • A marketing executive, developing a unique strategy to achieve more over its competitors in the market.
  • A political leader working in close association with his people, at the time of vexation.

Leaders not only ameliorate themselves but their people as well, to do the righteous. They give visions, set directions meanwhile creating something unique and inspiring. Leadership is about visualizing and implementing “Where one should go?” and “What one should peruse?” in order to win in the market as a team.

Meanwhile, leaders not only bring out maps and directions, they although use management skills as the most important tool. Through management skills they plot their people to the right destination by methodical ways.

 Leadership relates unauthodorox things to unlike people all around the globe, followed by different things and unusual happenings. It could relate to community, religious, political leadership and leadership at any campaign related groups.

In business, leaders usually provide their colleagues with “Visions”. Visions which are realistic, inspiring and fascinating, leading towards the desired future of the individual. In order to develop a clear vision, leaders look more into what are the positivities of the organization and analyzing the current situations. They are always the ones who think differently and behave in that particular manner. They are the ones who set up the Global strategies, develop them and making them market compatible.

Here leadership amalgamates the rigorous perspective of the creation of vision with the passionate values, ending up creating something distinctive for the people.

Now the major topic for discussion is always what style of leadership to follow, what style will lead to what and what style should be declared as the most effective in order to leave a mark over the people.

Types of Leadership styles

Charismatic style of Leadership:

This style of leadership includes the behaviors that influence others, through competence of personality, they usually act efficiently, they inspire and motivate others to move step ahead. They are the ones who help people to discover their will power .All these behaviors create a positive impact over other people.

Merits and Demerits of Charismatic leadership:

These people work exceptionally well in order to convince others over their own “VISION”. They can easily win over persuading others and take their idea into consideration. These people are always stars in inspiring their co workers. On the other hand Charismatic leadership is more into making others believe over the leader’s vision. It may cause team members to stifle their beliefs and at the end, struggle. These leaders sometimes become the victims of their own ego and give least attention to the members.
