Operations manager is the key role in every organization where he or she needs to handle multiple roles and duties at the same time such as supply chain, work flow, purchases and many more. They take in charge of the company and play a vital leadership and senior role to lead their organization to success which will lead to profits.

Managing an organization’s resources is the main extensive challenge that operations managers would face in current developing business environment. Principles that have to be faced during the organization are to grasp this job and to be successful and maintain high performances in a shifting world-wide industry. With limited amount of resources most of the organizations are being forced to make sustainability a major priority for example; a famous company, Burger King, recently introduced a new type of its French fries which is known as “Satisfries” where these fries have 30% lesser calories than their original fries. These changes are impacting the ways of operations management and create more operational challenges. (Nada Sanders, 2014)

With new current changes of modern technology and globalization, operations manager role became more crucial and vital than before; also it changed severely over the last couple of years. To make sure that their companies achieves its goals they are targeting on monitoring their companies internal operations. However, the operations manager should be aware of the number of resources available in the marketplace due to a vast amount of increasing population. Prior to this, the operations manger’s duties increase across many departments within this organization from finance to technology and they have to ensure that optimal policies and procedures within these departments are secure.
