My Assessment of Industry Attractiveness

My assessment of industry attractiveness is that it is important for a company to know what they are working with. A company has to know who their competitors are, how strong they are, the width of margins, and rate of growth for its goods and services. (Business Dictionary) To me, this is basic information when it comes to starting a business. Without knowing for one, who your competition is, a company is going to run into the risk of failing and not making it as a whole. Finding the right industry for a business is sometimes the hardest part of starting a business, but once you figure that out, it’s easier to move forward in the business world. Most times you think of companies entering a “good” industry rather than a “bad” one, but sometimes those companies that enter the “bad” industries seem to do the best. For example, look at a garbage company, that isn’t necessarily an attractive industry, but look how well those companies seem to run their businesses. .

Changes happen everywhere, no matter what is going on and the same goes for search engines. Changes don’t always come from the search engines themselves; rather the users are the ones creating the changes. To me, that couldn’t be truer. Google is google, until someone goes to use it. When that person uses that search engine, it is going to begin to change, based on what that customer is searching for, and what that customer likes. Specific keywords that are used when users search something begin to become a hit for marketers. Actually, a search engine all together can be a huge hit for marketers. In the future marketers are going to have to do away with the targeting of the keywords and begin providing relevant information, quality content, and have the ability to give users the experience they want.
