Description of the KFC in China

In China, KFC food is not like America. There is a lot of differences exist. In other words, KFC in China means localization has a great spreading out in China. In China, KFC is more successful than McDonald's. I will talk about what China's KFC looks like, form external and internal side.

The mean difference is product. when in Rome, do as the Romans. Deep-rooted in the Chinese consciousness is the traditional culture of food and drink that features color, fragrance, flavor and variety. While McDonald's restaurants in China mostly sell the same US-style burgers, KFC's menu features dishes that would be un- recognizable to its patrons in the US Alongside the Colonel's ”secret recipe” fried chicken, Chinese KFCs also offer options such as the Dragon Twister, a chicken wrap in a Peking duck-type sauce, and spicy tofu chicken rice based on the cuisine of Sichuan province, home of China's hottest dishes. At Chinese KFC restaurant, has more than 50 kinds of food, not only has the Hot wings or Chicken popcorn like The U.S., The Chinese KFC menu include fried dough sticks, egg tarts, shrimp burgers, and soymilk drinks, as well as foods tailored to the tastes of specific regions within China. For example, KFC's menu includes Traditional Peking Chicken Rolls, Preserved Sichuan Pickle and Shredded Pork Soup, Happy French Fry Shakes (with beef, orange and Uygur barbecue spices) and for breakfast a Chinese-style porridge called congee. Instead of cole slaw, which never caught on in China, customers can order seasonal vegetables.

There have several external differences between China's KFC and The U.S.'s KFC, which discuss in follow:

First, at China's KFC restaurant, the average customers are more than U.S. At Chinese KFC restaurant, the cashier is approximately 8-10, seat in the restaurant is more than hundred. Meanwhile, ordering and waiting area is almost 3 times than U.S. At kitchen of the restaurant, because of the lager volume of customer, the area and the equipment is also lager than U.S. Second, China's KFC restaurant generally opens at the downtown of the city. Because at China, KFC is not only provides fast speed for food, they also present a great taste for eating. Customer in KFC likes chatting and relax, even reading book or do homework. In KFC, the area is more than 300 square meters which also with children's playground. Third, although more and more people are used to carry-out in China. But eating at restaurant is still a lot. So at China, there is no drive-in window, so there is no outflow of the special needs of the line facilities.
