Once it was decided that our company was going to start the export process in the hope that our door protectors would be as successful in the next market as it has proven to be here in “the states”, the next step was to decide on where and why. After detailed analysis and in-depth market research, Canada was chose to be the next market we here are going to conquer.

Canada not only presents a fantastic demographic to release our product in, but also presents a large opportune market. Canadians have a fantastic way of life, and also have a fantastic way of work ethic as well. Take the major city Regina for example, Regina’s known for in Canada for having the lowest business operating costs in all of Western Canada and even the United States (Labor Market Strong in Regina, 2006). As of July of 2006 there were more than 5000 businesses already established in Regina, and that number was on the steady increase. There are approximately 200,000 residents that consider Regina their fulltime home and an astounding one out of every five have obtained a college degree.

In June of 2010, the employment rate in Canada rose by a whopping 93,000 of positions held (Latest release from the Labour Force Survey, 2010). This increase is a definite plus when making the final decision to export to and produce in Canada; these statistics show a positive increase in the Canadian economy, which leads to more money in the buyers’ pockets. This increase in employment pushes the unemployment rate down 7.9%, a definite decrease from just a year ago.

Canada has a wide variety of options for the commuters and buyers who would rather opt to use public transportation, whether their reasons are choice or necessity; these options include cabs, trains or bus transportation. Outside of public transportation, there is of course the flying option. Regina International Airport is commonly known of have a constant in and out traffic from several major airlines
