Introduction

Globalization is the worldwide integration that arises due to the exchange of the world views, ideas, products, and even the culture. Over the recent times, globalization has grown tremendously. There are some globalization tools that aids its spread. The food is one of these tools, and it has directly brought about globalization. These are fast food that has ventured into the markets all over the world, hence opening areas for international business that were originally hidden to the rest of the world. Examples of these foods include MacDonald, KFC, and Starbucks. The food has got positive impact as it has opened new areas for business, an opportunity that companies can utilize to set up international business. In the Arab Gulf, this food has opened up the area for investment from international companies hence bringing about industrialization in the area and all the benefits associated such as employment opportunities and revenue to the government (Welfens, 2000).

Discussion

Food is the major globalization tool that is in the market today. The companies that are manufacturing this food have grown into multinational companies that sell their products in so many countries, for instance, MacDonald’s has developed over thirty-one thousand restaurants in 119 countries. This company employs people of a different culture. These food industries use the telephone services, airplanes. Ships and instant capital flow between their branches of operation in different countries. This has made the world more interdependent because money; technology and raw materials are in a continuous movement throughout international borders. Along with these comes the circulation of ideas and cultures, thus bringing about globalization (Spatz, 2002).
