When a product is put on the market the seller must go through the proper channels to get the product to the end user. In order for the product to be successful a marketing strategy is a must. A product could be a physical thing, it could also be a service and even an idea could be considered a product. A product has to be implemented in order to develop a marketing strategy. Selecting the right type of distribution is very important. The seller still needs to decide the type of channel organization whether it be conventional, vertical, horizontal, or multi-channel marketing system. The seller will have to analyze their target market’s needs and determine which type of channel members will be used. In order for a product to be successful these steps will have to be put in place. Marketing research is the process or set of processes that link the consumers, customers, and the end user to the marketer. This is done through information used to identify and define market opportunities and problems. The seller needs to generate, refine, and evaluate marketing actions; monitor marketing performance and improve understanding of marketing as a process. The goal of marketing research is to identify and assess how changing elements of the marketing mix impacts customer behavior.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR BANGING BOWS

Putting decorative bows on the market the seller would need to use a direct distribution channel. Your sales force is typically direct channels to the market. Direct channels are the things that the seller controls. Selling decorative bows would be direct marketing because it is directly trying to impact the customer. Direct marketing includes promotional strategies like telemarketing, direct mail, and television advertising. Banging Bows could also be a product that would sell on the Internet. Here direct marketing is used for strategic channel control purposes even though it is inefficient on its own and surprisingly it can profit the manufacturer even when direct sales occur. With the holidays right around the corner and Fall is in the air it is a great time to introduce “Banging Bows” to the marketing industry. Beautiful, decorative bows make great Christmas tree toppers. Making the Christmas tree toppers started out being a hobby and turned into an idea and eventually became a dream. “Banging Bows” could be an accessory for all occasions.
