1.        Cleaning Company

The management style that best suites a cleaning company is the Human Relations Managerial style. This is because a level of employee autonomy is required, they will work better when there is a separate supervisor for each department (snow and lawn maintenance). Indirect pay can help motivate the staff of this company and bring out the best in them. The kind of indirect pay that can be introduced include long service gratuity to decrease staff turnaround.

Specific benefits the company could offer will be giving discounts to employees on services the company renders. For instance a discount on the amount to be paid for a yard clean up in employees homes.

A retail clothing chain

The high involvement managerial style will best suite the clothing chain. Sales Associates need a higher autonomy to be able to give discounts to disgruntled customers, have a supervisor in each store, etc.  The clothing chain can give employees discount on the clothes they buy for themselves of their immediate family. The definition of immediate family may be expanded to include parents, siblings, spouse and children. The compensation plan, medical, health benefits, vacations, paid holidays and leaves etc. could encourage membership behaviour, high involvement since benefits for employees usually increases as their tenure increases and can also create a sense of gratitude and obligation on the part of employees towards their employer.

Computer Software Company

The high involvement managerial style will be best for the software company because employees will need a high level of autonomy to bring out the innovation in them. In addition to the base pay and performance perks, The company can reward best software and innovative staff, they can reward long lasting employees to discourage turnaround. The company could offer a specific benefit which could be free tuition for any work-related course they want to take. This kind of benefits will intrinsically and extrinsically motivate the employees.
