Strategic thinking is an important skill required when change and team building are challenging because it keeps the plan for a better future on track (T. H., personal communication, January 8, 2015). The most important change management and team skill, according to Stephanie, is open communication (personal communication, January 6, 2015). Open communication among employees in an organization is essential to keep employees connected and allows for opportunities to contribute ideas to the change process.
