Clinging to a Hope

The phrase “clinging to a hope” which I chose as a title for the essay is found on the part where the coach’s wife said that she is still clinging to a hope that they will have children and that things will be right. And in the end of the movie, their dreams have been recognized because they did the right things and they applied the words of God.

Joshua 10:25 of the bible says “Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight."” Just like in the movie, the giants where the state champions for three consecutive years but hope and faith in God has made a way to transform a team that nearly didn’t win at all to a team that won the state championship.

At least 108 million people were killed in wars in the twentieth century. I once thought that the elders, the leaders, the politicians, the youth, and everyone older than me know what they are doing. I used to tell myself that as long as what we are doing is good, nothing will happen to us. But now, I’m very confident that that it isn’t real.
