“Buy Nothing Day” Argument Essay

Many people have habits of continuously shopping everyday.A "Buy Nothing Day" has been held yearly for a day since 2006 to stop those who over shop .People over consume items because they believe they cannot live without that item.Some of the items people buy everyday become an essential to their everyday lifestyle. By holding a "Buy Nothing Day" positive outcomes will occur because it will help and encourage people to detox one day from buying things that they think are important for everyday use.

Purchaseing things becomes a habit and after excseivly doing it , it becomes an addicting lifestyle.When people continuously purchase items they become more and more infatuated with spemding.Everyday people are lined up at the drive thru at Starbucks buying their "Daily Fix " because they think they cannot function without it.Not only do people buy unnecessary beverages but they also excessively shop.As soon as people get their pay checks they go straight over to the mall or department stores and buy more clothes , shoes and bags they do not need.People excessively shop and they do not care or think about all the money they are wasting.When purchasing an item people swipe their credit cards and do not think about the charges they will have to pay later.Thousands of people all around the world are in credit card debt because of excesive carless spending.
