Every FedEx Ground package sent within the U.S. needs a bar-code label and an address label. This can be:

A combined bar code and address label produced by FedEx electronic shipping tools or third-party parcel-processing equipment; or

A preprinted bar-code label plus an address label you create yourself. These bar-code labels contain your company's shipper number and a unique tracking number for routing your package.

You can order FedEx Ground bar-code labels by calling 1.800.GoFedEx (1.800.463.3339). Alternatively, FedEx Ship ManagerĀ® at fedex.com can help you generate labels electronically right from your desktop. Remember, there is a different bar-code label for every service or service option you choose. If you don't have your own bar-code labels, you can also take your U.S. ground packages to most FedEx drop-off locations and we can process them for you.
