We Consume Many Kinds of Products to Support Our Daily Life

We consume many kinds of products to support our daily life such as hot water, airplane and drink. In this paper, I will analyze my Green behaviors and provide some changes to enhance my behaviors. Personally, I am a kind of green person. Firstly, I will discuss my water usage. And then, I will focus on my travel for example, the travel method. Lastly, I am going to present my daily eat and drink.

I am a green person in the usage of hot water. I always use cold water during the laundry rather than the cold water. I try to maximum the capacity of automatic washing machine since it can save water and release less pollution of laundry detergent. As a result, it not only economizes on the water usage but also protects the environment. Almost all of washing powder contains phosphorus that can lead to the algae blooms. Algae blooms produce toxins that can kill marine creatures and plants. Except in winter when the weather is extremely freezing, I often use cold water to wash dishes. It takes a 45 percent of total water usage for washing purpose. But in some cases when the oil and stain on dishes are difficult to get rid of, I turn to use hot water. Hot water works well in removing the grease-stained dishes. Shower takes the largest part in my hot water usage compared to laundry and washing dishes. I take a shower once a day, each time spends about 25 minutes. A hot bath after all day’s fatigues helps me release all my stress. But it takes longer than my roommates, and thus I should reduce the shower time. In addition, I can change a shower-head with lower floor rate to save water.

I usually travel by air. Since I come from China, I have to take flight to China. It takes a long time approximately at least 11 hours from Chicago to Beijing. Also, I often take a flight travel in the domestic. Airplane is the most recent technology and has the fastest speed in the modern transportation. Therefore, it is an excellent method in traveling.
