This leads to the idea that outsourcing and offshoring can create jobs in areas otherwise extremely impoverished. There may be a loss of jobs in the United States, yes. However, the U.S. is constantly losing and creating jobs. Even currently, this is probably one of the easier countries to get a job in, even if it's not ideal. Moreover, many Americans constantly say that the U.S. government need to have more of a humanitarian influence on other countries. Most would agree that right now this may not be monetarily feasible, as the U.S. national debt grows larger than $14 trillion. Nonetheless, the U.S. automatically makes more of an impact in other countries when a company outsources its jobs. Intel is one corporation that fully takes advantage of the inexpensive labor in both China and India. Simply having workers in another country and reduce labor costs significantly, and an employee in China can be paid as low as one tenth of that of someone in the United States doing the same job. This would significantly reduce the labor costs of a corporation, and allow for much more room to focus on other managerial issues. However, moving jobs to other countries raises concerns to many Americans. Since people are getting laid off every day, it seems natural that most would be against this. Humanitarianly, though, it creates many excellent jobs in countries that normally would not have the same types of opportunities. For example, in China, Intel has many technical customer service representatives. They created jobs for hundreds of Chinese people who may not have had that opportunity previously. The Chinese who work for Intel are paid more fairly than they would be in many other positions they would have without the help of a multinational corporation, creating jobs in China give more opportunities to a country where most of the citizens live on less than two dollars a day, and it overall, more international business can create a more positive reaction
