The Security Plan

Having a solid security plan is very important to maintain a successful business today. Any and all retail stores, outlets, or distributors must have an adequate form of security in able to function properly and make a profit. Security can range from armed officers to locked gates and access points to security cameras. Electronics also have a key roles in keeping businesses secure and safe especially in today’s economy. Security systems such as alarms, surveillance cameras as well as employed security professionals to watch the cameras plays a key role in the success of today’s businesses. This is done to keep merchandise or cash from leaving the store shelves or counters and exiting the premises without being paid for or properly given to.

        The purpose of the Valley credit union is to promote financials and provide credit to members. The primary purpose is to ensure the goal of service is to encourage members to save money as well as offer loans and mortgages to members. The many functions that Valley Credit Union can provide is financial support to members through means of issuing and keeping their financial funds. Preparing and granting all types of loans to the customer’s needs. Provide professional customer service for all customers. Valley Credit Union is a new bank in the area and has undergone extremely intense security and risk assessments, and inspections before opening and still continuing assessing updates security materials and products that may help improve the facility in the future. 

         Security professionals need to maintain high standards to work for the Valley Credit Union. They want to hire security professionals that will take on the responsibility of keeping this environment safe. For the Valley Credit Union physically, there is an up to date security system that is in operation for all banks. Selected top security professionals are the “eyes” in every part of the bank to watch for any suspected activity from personnel that enters and exits the credit union. There are limited access points in the back of the bank, with proper security personnel throughout the facility. There are signs posted both inside and out of the credit union that clearly state that the bank is under surveillance. The parking lots are lit well for safety as well as cameras monitoring any parking lot activity that may come to harm the credit union.

        Inside the Credit Union there are security officers posted throughout the bank to watch for any possible criminal activity and even posted near the vault to watch from behind the counter for any robbery that may take place. The credit union also is in connection with the local police to readily let them know that the Credit Union is in a hostile state, like just pressing a button that alarms the police station that a robbery is in place. When walking in or out of the bank, members would have to walk through the metal detectors that help the bank’s security feature with any hopes to be able to detect any guns entering the facility. Within the rear of the bank, where members who come to conduct business cannot see, is a closed office that holds all the monitors for the security cameras that are within and around the credit union with security officers watching at all times, and updating after hours to make sure that it is not interfered with the constant motion that goes on within a bank on a daily basis. There are also fire safety features in place within the ceilings to help put out any large fires and fire extinguishers behind the counters. Before and After Bank hours the Credit Union is locked with both key and a pin pad where the manager is the only one who can open the Bank first thing in the morning with his or her key and pin that gets changed every 28 days. Unless for any suspicion changed more often by the Banks district manager and not the bank manager.
