Schwartz, Mattathias. "Jamaica’s Former P.M. Opens up About Coke Arrest, Extradition - The New Yorker." The New Yorker., 03 Aug. 2012. Web. 04 Oct. 2015.

This article will allow me to express the political views that were attached in this case. The Prime Minister was said to be involved with the kingpin, Christopher Coke, and this article is an interview with the Prime Minister at the time, and his own perspective on the situation. It will aid me in giving the readers of this research paper information form the Prime Minister himself, and it help them to gain a better sense of the situation from the views of a person in power at the time, who was said to be heavily involved with the situation. I’m going to use this information to show the corruption that was present and I will use it to show the corruption of the current government, because of the extradition of Christopher Coke. The interview nature of this article has hands on perspective from the man that has been accused of having a close and corrupt relationship with Coke. With the being said, it will add a very specific and vital outlook that will be needed in this paper for the explanation of the relationship between the prime minister and Christopher Coke.

McGreal, Chris. "The Battle for Kingston, Jamaica." The Guardian, 28 May 2010. Web. 3 Oct. 2015

The violence that occurred during this time affected many citizens both emotionally and physically and this article captures exactly what happened. This has a full and complete overview of what was happening at the time of the violent extradition. It is complete with conversations and quotes from residents within Tivoli Gardens, which allows for a true and personal perspective on what was going on in the community. It explains the violence, the deaths and causalities that occurred and the reasons why Christopher Coke was such an important figure within the community. It shows that they all looked up to him, fearfully but also financially. I am going to use this information to give the readers a sense of what exactly was happening at the time. And giving them a feel of the physicality of the area will express the true violence that was going on.
