Social Development Research

I choice this article, as well as the topic, because I felt that it was important to see how the negative affect of a parent reflects on a child that can lead them to have problems as they progress into their adulthood. This article points out different factors that occur in the social development from a parent to adolescent, which could influence how the adolescent develops socially to his or her social development.

This article touches on many aspects of how a child can reciprocate on the negative emotions from the parents, which influences the development of a social relationship during early adulthood. The increase negative that the parents have with the child, the more likely the child will carry these emotions into their adulthood, which can cause their social development to deplete. The parent-adolescent relationship can stem from environmental stressors such as the parents marital status, financial difficulties, or work related stress, which my increase the negative toward their children and this reflects the social development for a young adult.

Findings show that the effects of the parents negative progress from early childhood to adolescent increases the likely hood that child that becomes an adolescent will carry on these factors to their adulthood, which cause them to have relationship problems, cause them to do drugs and drink, unstable employment, and not have any social developments to interact with others in their environment. I personally have had some social development problems that as caused me some unstable relationships, and the feeling of unworthy that has stemmed from my childhood to my adulthood. This has caused some issues that I am now dealing with in my adult life. I believe that the negative that a child has endured throughout their childhood causes the adolescent to develop social development problems as an it approaches adulthood.
