Global capital investments are well known to major companies, such as Acme. Acme is a multinational investment company located in the Unites States. They are looking to expand their services in other countries. Global investments can be in the form of mutual funds to a company outside the United States or in the form of the company’s stock exchange. Any kind of investments in or outside the company and/or country is very risky (Financial Web, n.d.). There is never a win to lose ratio to consider. The most important thing to consider when investing is the success of the company you wish to invest in.

Industrialized countries are counties that have moved from an agriculture-based economy into a more industrial urban economy (Investopedia, n.d.). Examples of these countries include Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, Mexico, and India. According to Investopedia (2009),”An emerging market economy is defined as an economy with low to middle capita income”. An example country is China. Although China has become the powerhouse of the world, it has fewer resources which make it embark on economic development and reform programs. China has opened up into the global scene and has been growing fast to become stronger and responsible.

Small businesses play a large role in providing employment in less developed markets. Capital that is generated in industrialized countries is finding its way to less-developed and emerging markets. No matter the size of a business, financing is necessary. Financing expands operations, develops new products, and invests in new staff or production facilities (OECD, 2006). As if lately, it was very hard for small or medium business to find capital through banks or capital markets. Banks are now adapting strategies to cope with reducing the risk of lending to small or medium business (OECD).
