These Spectacles

These spectacles are used to correct vision impairments. They are responsible for negating nearsightedness by using a concave lens to bend light rays outward. It is not uncommon to find them sitting awkwardly on a thin, light nose.

This battle worn pair of spectacles has been rubbed, pulled on, wiped, washed, dropped, and worn for three years. As a result, they show off the scars of countless battles with nature, human carelessness, and unexplainable phantom forces. They have been exposed to an infinite number of hard objects, bedraggled fingers, and other malevolent beings that seek to do them harm.

Spectacles are quadrangular and are positioned comfortably in complement to eyes. Their thickness has gradually increased over time due to repeated abuse of eyes during late night reading, studying, television watching, and just plain seeing. They repeatedly try to fall off face but are halted by hands.

These spectacles are used for enabling instant clarity of vision and are used to increase efficiency of mundane, prosaic tasks such as reading, writing, and matching faces to names, though this particular skill has always been found to be profoundly lacking, spectacles or no spectacles. They have proven to be reliable in most situations when their use is most dire. The upkeep of these spectacles is a useful, mildly productive task able to be carried out to pass the time in circumstances of intense boredom.

Most importantly, these spectacles have allowed numerous essays to be written, problems to be solved, and assignments to be completed. They allow the wearer to comprehend and discern the finer points of confusing or ambiguous essay prompts. They enable the brain to release hormones like endorphin, dopamine, and serotonin to trigger happiness when it comprehends a high score. These spectacles permit their young wearer to carry out his main objective: success.
