The Ransom of Red Chief

At the beginning of this story I felt that it was going to end up is it did. When two con-men

just needed a small amount of money like two thousand dollars to pull off a scam, I knew Bill and

Sam were a little off in the head. So they decided to go to a very small town and kidnap a kid

from a well- known family, The Dorset’s. But little did they know that the kid they

picked was too much for them to handle. Bill and Sam drove to the Dorset’s house and saw a

boy throwing rocks at a kitten. Bill ask the little red haired boy to come to him, and the little

boy responded by throwing a piece of brick that hit Bill in the face. I knew then that Bill and

Sam were in trouble. They took the child to a cave, thinking that getting a ransom was going to

be easy. No problems! Just write a letter to the parents and they were in the money. But little

Johnny had a surprise for them. Johnny started tormenting Bill and put fear in Sam’s heart.

But there was no turning back. Bill and Sam wrote the letter to Johnny’s parents asking for

money and left the response in a box out side of town. Sam decided to climb the tree and wait for
